I just got this mouse (in the red color) from TJ Maxx. I had a little trouble with the battery cover, but other than that I was able to just plug in the usb and push the little conect button on the USB and on the one on the mouse and off it went. It is little too bright to match the red Aser Aspire I have, but I think I am going to keep it (probably will not find an exact match on the red). Like the side back and forward buttons.

A little higher and smaller than my usual mouse (a standard mouse that I use at work all day long, but I think it will fit my daughter's hand better as I am going to give her the netbook for her birthday. Easy to use even without a mouse pad (on my wooden coffee table). Worth the money I paid for it. I would most likely like the battery indicator on top as I hate it when the mouse goes dead in a middle of something I am doing. It is nothing over the top but the price reflects that. This was bought for me over a year ago and I used it on a dell d620 laptop running Windows XP Pro.

The mouse worked fine for the most part (there is no software to install), though the batteries needed fairly regular recharging (don't get disposables for this hog) and there would be times where the mouse response would become choppy. This *may* have something to do with my bluetooth headset/charger being inches away. I then upgraded to Windows 7.

The mouse choppiness went away, but forget ever using the scrollbars or the start menu. There is a problem (and this even happens during the Win7 install, forcing you to choose some improper defaults) with the scrolling in which just about any scrollbar you click with this mouse will automatically force you to the top/left most entry. The only way around it was for me to use my touchpad for such situations.
