“Footsteps” turns the tables once more, delivering a rock-driven sound that is paired with an undeniably heavy pop influence, and the results are quite catchy. I don’t know if recent adopters will be on board with the lighter sound of this material, but I do know that every rock radio station from New York to Los Angeles, as well those around the globe, will embrace this track with open arms.

We have already requested a copy of Up from the band’s label, but seeing as the release will not hit stores until the end of summer it’s unlikely that we will hear the record in full any time soon. That said, having spoken to the band in the last month, I can tell you they claim other tracks on Up are far heavier than “Footsteps,” so if this doesn’t do it for you please don’t lose hope.
