Chevy Silverado Driver Door Module
Posted By admin On 02/02/18Hi all, I'm new to the Silverado world. I just picked up a new (to me) 2003 2500 HD Diesel this weekend. Please forgive me if I'm posting in the wrong place but I am having a problem with the mirrors and door lock. I did a search here but I can't seem to find a solution. The problem is: When I lock or unlock the doors using the remote or the driver's door switch, all of the doors lock except the driver's door. If I manually slide the lock, it works fine. I'm not sure if this is related, but the power mirror on the driver's side also doesn't work.
I plan to start tracing wires to see what I can find, but it seemed strange that both the power mirrors and lock don't work on the same door. Everything else works fine from the driver's door (power windows, locks to other doors, power mirror on passenger side, etc. Heroes David Bowie. ) so I thought there may be a known issue. Thanks very much for the help guys.
You probably have an electronic module in the driver's door called the driver's door module. Check the electrical connections from the mirror/lock to this module. Also check the battery voltage and check for clean battery terminals. You should have 12 something volts with the ignition on and not started. Then 13/14 volts after starting and the alternator kicks in and is charging the battery. Then check the voltage at the door.
Should be close to what the battery is reading. More on this. Voltage drop testing. The AutoGuide.com network consists of the largest network of enthusiast-owned enthusiast-operated automotive communities.

Electrical problem 2003 Chevy Silverado V8 Four Wheel Drive Automatic 100600 miles I left my truck outside at the airport all last week and when I came back, nothing electrical in the driver's door worked. I had to unlock it with the key although two clicks on the remote unlocked the other doors.
The power mirrors, windows, locks, seat heaters and dome light were inoperative from the driver's door. About 10 minutes into the drive home, I noticed it all started working again (door switch illumination came on). I stopped for dinner and came out 45 minutes later to find nothing worked again. Three days later, still nothing works. I don't have a wiring schematic to see where the ground is located, or if these accessories run through a multiplexer, or know where to begin.
Any help would be appreciated.
